Everyone knows this track by now - a huge club banger, and radio airplay back in the winter of 2009, this track got redone by DJ Digital Dave with Juicy, to bring you Ke$ha's "Tik Tok [DJ Digital Dave Remix with Juicy]". Below is the video, and after the jump the track to the remix! A much more up-beat, danceable version of the already bumpin' track.

Hey guys,

It looks like I'll finally have some time to start doing some posts here once in a while - but before I get you all excited, that doesn't mean I'll be doing what I did before on here.

I'm going to keep doing my thing at my new corporate blog site at Premier Productions. It's a sick site and perfect for the things I want to get done at least in terms of media/entertainment.

However, for personal stuff, and the occaisional re-post on here, I'm going to start doing some new, creative stuff here. So check back once in a while, and especially once I get a camera this will most likely be my template to put new stuff up.

With that being said, see y'all soon...big things coming soon!

That being said, I'm obsessed with this new show from HBO and the makers of Entourage - titled How To Make It In America and based in NYC. Click HERE for episodes 1 & 2, and more goodies after the jump!

Happy New Year! As we bring in 2010, and a new decade, I also have new things happening, and to cut things short, I must bid farewell to this Blog. I know I haven't been very active on this since the winter break, but that's because I've been busy at work getting the new site I will be a part of up and ready for the launch in the new year. This doesn't mean I'm done with blogging, but just that you can find all the same content you've come to enjoy on this site, plus more at http://blog.premierproductions.ca/.

This blog, at least in the near future, will be converted into my personal blog - void of all content but purely for me to rant, comment, and post things that are important to me on a personal level. I know that this has been a long and hard journey to get to where I'm at now, starting at just 100 or so visitors per month, to now with 4,400+ unique visitors, and 6,314+ page views per month. This site went through a complete rehaul in the layout and name, and with it multiple revisions to the blog format to what it is now. But it's because I've reached this far that I've decided to move my blogging services to the Premier Prod.'s blog. Not only does it give me more access to media content, but also allow bigger and better content that I can post utilizing their resources.

I want to personally thank each and everyone of you who have supported, commented, criticized, and otherwise leached all the stuff on this site, and I look forward to providing you new and exciting content in the new year and decade at my new destination...

Until the next post, I bid you farewell!

PS: Enjoy Skillz's annual track, the "2009 Rap Up".

Nike has a new MVPuppets snippet titled "Dunking On Reindeer". They actually jacked Blackstar's chorus on "Definition" for the intro, and Santa showin' how to ball it up. Perfectly themed for the holidays - MERRY CHRISTMAS, everyone! On a side note, peek an update sometime soon... after I enjoy 5 NBA games and a NFL one tomorrow while making some Turkey and good stuff for the fam. Have a Happy Holiday!

Chew Fu, the "Serial Fixer", has launched another new track, re-fixing this time Pretty Ricky's "Say A Command". A huge face-lift as it brings about a electro-house flair to the Hip-Hop track.

Ironman 2 trailer has finally been released, originally debuting off of Apple's site but now available for the viewing public on YouTube. Ironman, or Tony Stark, is now in full view of the public as he has announced at the end of Ironman that he was, well, Tony Stark. With this one aiming to be a lot darker and more focused on Stark's problems, we also get the delight to see War Machine will be part of this movie...

DJ Chedo, whom I know personally, is a huge avid fan of all types of music and hosts The Come Up Show (which on its own is a sick hip-hop slot). He recently got the chance to interview J. Cole, an up-and-coming Rap artist signed under the Roc Nation imprint. Check out some flicks below and for the interview!

WOW I can't believe that the 00's are coming to an end, as it only seems like yesterday we were worried about the Y2K crisis happening...

With it, as many music lovers know, so much has happened within the music industry that its baffling. You have mp3's, digital downloads, and of course online streaming as the new norm. People pirate and buy up goods that the RIAA and rest of the fat cat's can't get their money-grubbing hands on (and while we're at it, might as well throw the IFPI (damn French) under the train too) while the rest of the world has adapted to the new medium.

And of course, we have the very best of the decade in music... Hip-Hop has taken over as early as 2001, with Pop music finally letting go of its clutches as Justin Timberlake left to go solo, and how both Eminem's and 50 Cent's new albums in 2001 and 2003 showed how marketable the hip-hop image was. As well, Alternative Rock, which encompassed the likes of Emo and Post-Grunge, was a heavy influence within the decade as bands such as Jimmy Eat World, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Panic at the Disco, 3 Doors Down, and Theory of a Deadman. With a shift at the end of 2009 moving towards the Electro-genre and the revival of Synthpop (with hit makers such as Lady GaGa, Crookers, MSTRKRFT, Idle Warship and other notable acts moving towards that sound), it still stands that Hip-Hop has dominated the majority of the decade (at least according to Rolling Stone).

But, let's begin with the charts, starting with...

ONE HIT WONDERS of the 2000s:

#1 - Daniel Porter - Bad Day
#2 - Terror Squad - Lean Back
#3 - Crazy Town - Butterfly (remember this one???)
#4 - MIMS - This Is Why I'm Hot
#5 - D4L - Laffy Taffy

Read the rest on Billboard...

Top SONGS of the 2000s (based on Radio Play):

#1 - Mariah Carey - We Belong Together
#2 - Usher Ft. Ludacris & Lil' Jon - Yeah! (honestly I think this one should have been #1)
#3 - Flo Rida Ft. T-Pain - Low
#4 - Nickelback - How You Remind Me (seriously??)
#5 - Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling

Read the rest on Billboard...

Top SONGS of the 2000s:

#1 - Gnarls Barkley - Crazy
#2 - Jay-Z - 99 Problems
#3 - Beyonce - Crazy In Love
#4 - Outkast - Hey Ya!
#5 - M.I.A. - Paper Planes

Read the rest on Rolling Stone...

Top-selling ALBUMS of the 2000s:

#1 - 'N Sync - No Strings Attached
#2 - Usher - Confessions
#3 - Eminem - The Eminem Show
#4 - Norah Jones - Come Away With Me
#5 - Creed - Human Clay

Read the rest on Billboard...

Artists of the Decade:

#1 - Eminem (any surprise here? From releasing four major studio albums, going through drug rehab, marriages/divorces, and the death of his best friend, he's been through a lot this decade...)
#2 - Usher
#3 - Nelly
#4 - Beyonce
#5 - Alicia Keys

Read the rest on Billboard...

and finally, the best albums based on their impact, creativity, and standing in pop culture...

Best ALBUMS of the 2000s:

#1 - Kanye West - The College Dropout
#2 - Jay-Z - The Blueprint
#3 - Radiohead - Kid A
#4 - Outkast - Stankonia
#5 - Bob Dylan - Love and Theft

Read the rest of the top 10 on Entertainment Weekly...

#1 - Radiohead - Kid A
#2 - The Strokes - This Is It
#3 - Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
#4 - Jay-Z - The Blueprint
#5 - The White Stripes - Elephant

Read the rest of the top 100 on Rolling Stone...

Finally, my top 5 albums:

#1 - Jay-Z - The Blueprint
#2 - Kanye West - Graduation
#3 - Eminem - Marshall Mathers LP
#4 - Daft Punk - Discovery
#5 - Coldplay - A Rush Of Blood To The Head

And so as we close off this decade, we look forward to the next as we embark on a new journey of discoveries as we hear the latest music and sounds the world has to offer us. Look for the trend to hit even more one-hit wonders as the digital age embraces Singles and gets rid of Albums, and for the music to have a heavy electro-influence in the years to come!
